segfault in file-4.17 when detecting EMF

i tried looking into this, but i cant seem to track it down ...

the attached file makes `file` segfault on x86

might i suggest a sanity check in mcopy() that makes sure s+offset doesnt 
overflow and thus is not smaller than src (patch attached)
